Professional Gold Coast Groomer Vanessa Parsons is an International Master Groomer,

co founder of Groomer Nation and the owner and proprietor of Country Canines. Vanessa is a stylist with over 35 years experience in the grooming industry on the Gold Coast, owning her first salon at the age of 16 years old, then moving on to a mobile grooming service for over a decade, this business was one of the most successful mobile services on the Gold Coast. After hanging up her car keys she decided to go back to the salon life.

Vanessa Parsons CPA, IMG, ICMG, CMG, is a highly accomplished professional in the grooming industry and the Co-founder of Groomer Nation Australia’s fastest-growing grooming education platform. She serves as an Australian Ambassador for Shear Magic Products and Team Manager for the Shear Magic Team.

A Master-Level Qualified Dog Groomer, Vanessa has also held the prestigious role of International Grooming Judge with the IJA. She was a non-touring member of Groom Team Australia in 2009 and proudly represented Australia as a touring member in 2014/2015 team where Vanessa competed in Verbania, Italy, in the Terrier Class—a true honour and testament to her exceptional skills and dedication.

In 2024, Vanessa was awarded the Pioneer Award by the PIAA, the highest honour recognising her over 20 years of service to the pet industry at the highest level.

Vanessa has judged internationally at the KKC grooming competitions held in South Korea, Pro-Team Dog Grooming Competition held in Singapore and numerous competitions within Australia. She is an Award winner at grooming competitions throughout Australia & USA. The Shear Magic Team in which she competed within a team of 4 amazing groomers at the prestigious Master Groom taking out the MasterGroom Australian Team Champions for 2019.

To date Vanessa now has 3 Best In Shows with 3 different breeds also runner up best in shows. Ausgroom 2016, winner of Master Terrier Class & Group with her Miniature Schnauzer. Brisbane Royal 2015 Winner of both Poodle and terrier  master class and also group winner for both classes. 2015 Pet expo 1st Place Terrier Master and group winner. 2014 Ausgroom 1st place  Master Terrier and group winner also Runner up Best in show. PIAA Melbourne 2013 1st place Master and group terrrier and Best In Show with her Miniature Schnauzer, Brisbane Royal 2013 winner of poodle master class & group and Best In Show & QLD champion,  Brisbane Royal Grooming comp 2012 1st place of Poodle and Terrier Class,  Best In Show with a West Highland Terrier, and also QLD Royal Champion Groomer. Pet Expo 2012 1st Place Terrier Masters level and group winner.

  Vanessa is a Qualified Dog grooming passing her cert 3 and 4 at masters level, She has also completed Module 1 and 3 of the CPA , and passed her ICMG at masters level, Certified Companion Animal Hygienist and represented groomers as a director for the Pet Industry Association of Australia for over 2 years. She was a speaker at 2009 WA Pet Expo on Grooming Techniques and styles & again in WA at the DGAWA grooming seminars 2013 .. Vanessa also attends conformation shows with the beautiful Miniature Schnauzer and titling several Australian Champions and enjoys educating groomers through Groomer Nation online training platform and academy.
